1-  Access and apply from a pool of jobs

2-  Store and access your Resume online

3-  Create Multiple and Customized Job profiles

How can I post my Resume? 

To post your Resume at nikhiljobs.com click on the ‘Register’ link given on the left side of Home Page. The link takes you to the next step of filling up the account and professional details. Now register your account with newly created ID and password. After logging in click on choose file and select the file to upload from your hard drive ( The file format should be in doc,docx, pdf.rtf,txt file only ), Assign a name to CV which will be visible to employer, Add a description which will not be visible to the employer. click on ‘Save’ to make it a part of your particular profile. Once that is done you have your profile and resume registered with us. You can create and save up to 5 resumes .

How can I update/edit my Profile? 

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows the summary of your active Profile. To edit the same, click on the boxes to update and enter the updated data and click ‘Save my profile’ link given on the same page. This lets you make the necessary changes in your Profile by editing the relevant sections. It is recommended that you update your Profile regularly. This will ensure that you have greater chances of getting headhunted as an updated profile is what recruiters prefer.

Does it cost to post my Resume?

No, posting a Resume with nikhiljobs.com is absolutely Free of Cost . In fact, you can create up to 5 customized profiles to suit specific job applications free of charge. 

How can I create a cover letter?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows a brief summary of your account. To create a cover letter, go to “Profile and CV” click on the link ‘My Covering Letter’ given towards the left of the page. Once you have created a cover letter that suits your profile, click on ‘Save’ to make it a part of your particular profile. You can create and save up to 5 cover letters. A cover letter sent with a job application enables you to exhibit to a recruiter, information beyond what your CV provides.

 

I can’t remember the password to my account. How can I login again?

In this case, click on the ‘Login’ link given towards the Left top on the Home Page. The login page will appear , click forgot your login below already Registered, Sign in now to recover password or username and click the Lost the confirmation mail to get the registration mail again.

How can I change the password to my account?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows a brief summary of your account. To change your account password, click on the ‘Change Password’ link given towards the right of the page. You would need to enter your old password and specify and confirm the new one. Once you specified and confirmed the new password, a confirmation mail will be sent directly to your inbox.

How can I update the contact details on my account?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows a brief summary of your account. To update your email id, click on ‘Edit’ given in front of your email id details under your Active Profile. Once you have specified a new one, click on ‘Save’. This will ensure that your profile now reflects the new email id that you have specified. Similarly, to update your Phone Number, click on ‘Edit’ given in front of the phone number you had earlier specified. After entering a new one, click on ‘save’. This will ensure that your profile now reflects the new number entered.

 

Who all have access to my Resume?

Once you have posted your Resume, all the recruiters who are registered with Nikhiljobs.com can access it. However, you do have an option to decide on the visibility of your resume. If you do not want the recruiters to see your resume, click on the link Actions under ‘Manage my CV’S  and select Public to make them available to employers.  Setting the Resume Status to “Private ” will ensure that the recruiters no longer have any access to your Resume. Even, if you have selected the ‘Private ’ option, you can still search and apply for job vacancies using your account details.

B.    Search

What is search?

Search gives you an option to look for relevant jobs based on your specific requirements. To search for a job, you can use the given search window. You may use the following criteria to look for relevant jobs.

 

Keywords

For a keyword search you may enter Designation, Key Skills, or company name of desired job. Keyword search is of the following types

In Title Jobs matching all the keywords entered will be returned. The keywords may or may not appear together. For example: "Sales Manager" search will result in jobs which include both words "Sales" and "Manager". Jobs with only "Sales" or only "Manager" will not be returned.

In Title and description Jobs matching at keywords entered both in Tile and description will be returned.

Locations

You may enter Nepali cities or international countries, depending upon your preference. The search result will display only those jobs which are based out of the locations that you have specified.

Experience

You may enter the number of years you have worked for. The search result will display all those jobs with the required work experience range matching the one you have specified. 

Job Type

This will help you find jobs matching your desired job function. This may not be required if you have already entered designation as a keyword. 

C.    Apply

How can I apply for a selected job?

Once you have selected the job/s that you want to apply for, there are two types of Apply options available to you:

Apply online  with apply online you can immediately apply for a job without registration . Select a job and then click apply online, then fill up the necessary details like Email Address , Select your working status, then upload your CV directly , by filling up your other necessary information.

Apply by registering with this option you need to login with your username and password , then you can apply for any job selected with the saved CV’S /Cover Letters, Clicking on the apply button enables you to send your responses to the recruiters immediately.

I am not registered on the site. Can I still apply?

Yes, you can apply for the relevant job vacancies without being registered with Nikhiljobs.com. However, it is recommended that you apply for the vacancies after registering as it gives you greater maneuverability and wider options.

Registering with Nikhiljobs.com enables you to:

1-  Store and access your CV’S/Cover letter online

2-  Define your account\'s confidentiality settings

Can I apply for more than one job at a time? 

Yes, you have an option to apply for more than one job . Also, you don’t have daily quota of applying for job vacancies. 

Once I have selected a job, do I have an option to save it for a later apply?

You can always save a selected job and apply later, if you are not sure of an immediate apply OR if you want to apply later on. Once you have selected a particular job vacancy, all you need to do is to click on the \"Save Job\" link given on the search result page. 

To retrieve the job/s you have saved, you may click in the \"Saved Jobs\" link on the search result page.

How do I know if I have successfully applied for a job?

In case of a successful job application, you will be informed of the same through the confirmation mail sent by us directly to your inbox.

When can I expect a response after a successful job application?

Once you have successfully applied for a particular job vacancy, any future correspondence towards the same lies solely at the discretion of the company.

What is the ‘Jobs by Category’ option provided on the Home Page?

 ‘Jobs by Category’ enables you to refine your search by selecting a particular industry that suits your job requirement. The option provides you with a comprehensive list of all the jobs that are available under the chosen category. Clicking on the link further narrows down the category, into the area of specialization that you are looking at.

What is the ‘Jobs by Location’ option provided on the Home Page?

 ‘Jobs by Location’ enables you to refine your search by selecting that particular city you are looking at for finding a job. Once you have selected a job location, the search result will reflect only those jobs that are based out of the particular location that you have selected.

What is MyCV

CVNotes are your micro-updates to your nikhiljobs profile about your achievements at work. You can quickly and easily note down recent targets you may have achieved, any promotion you just got, a conference you attended, a project you completed, or anything else that adds value to your CV. 

You may choose to display, or hide, your CVNotes from recruiters and employers who view your profile on nikhiljobs.com. 

Remember, CVNotes cannot replace the importance of your profile and your resume document. We encourage you to update your profile and CV document regularly. It is now better that CVNotes will be available for your easy reference when you do that update.

How can you add CV?

You can add CV when you are logged into nikhiljobs.com. 

How can I hide my CV from recruiters ?

There is a option to set the visibility setting of your CV. The default state of CV is to be displayed to recruiters and employers. If you click on the option Action and then select change status  you are directed to a page wherein you can make the CV public or private .Making the CV public enables the CV to be visible to recruiters and selecting private will make your CVl become invisible to recruiters. 

To display CVNotes, uncheck the box and click on 'Save' again.

The usage of our site is bound by a set of terms and conditions that the employers must agree and adhere to. How can you check if an employer or a recruiter is a fraud or genuine?

Below are a few things we can suggest you could try (you are encouraged to exhaust all possible ways, not just be limited to the following) to ascertain the legitimacy of the employers who contact you:

Have you heard the name of the company before?

Do you remember applying to this particular company or did the offer come unsolicited?

Does the domain name in their email address match the name of the company? For example if you get a job offer from XYZ Petroleum Company, and their email ID is xyzpetroleum@gmail.com or xyzpetroleum@yahoo.com then it’s a fake company. Real companies use their own domain name on their email, and do not use free email providers.

Search on Yahoo, Google or MSN to see if the company has a genuine website. Also check if other people have reported that the employer has been involved in job scams previously.

Note the country that company claims to be working in, and offering you a job in. Most fake companies offer scam jobs in Africa, Middle East, Asia, South America, and to a much smaller extent, US or Western Europe.

Find out if you need to pay the company for anything. If they ask you to pay - at first or even after some time - for visa, work permit or for travel, chances are it\\\\\\\'s a fake company.

In case you wish to retrieve your username, please enter your email-id (the email id used for registration with nikhiljobs.com) in the “ Email” text box and click on “Send Username” button. We’ll email you your account details.

Why do I keep getting logged out of my account?

If you have been logged out of your Nikhil account, it is probably because:

You have not used the application since 1 hour after you logged in and your login session has expired. 

[Note: It is always recommended click on the “Logout” link at the top after you finish using nikhiljobs services. This is to avoid any timeouts and prevent unsaved changes from being lost].
